HOW TO GET INVOLVED IN NA

1st SUNDAY OF THE MONTH -
Convention Committee-3:pm at Christ Church 405 Washington Street, Toms River, NJ The ocean area convention is a semi-annual fundraising event that brings our fellowship together for the purpose of celebrating recovery in Narcotics Anonymous. Workshops and other activities are scheduled during the convention to encourage unity, fellowship and service amoung our members. Because these conventions are a function of the Ocean Area Service Conference, they should be guided by the 12 Concepts and 12 Traditions of Narcotics Anonymous and reflect our Primary Purpose: "To carry the message to the addict who still suffers"

Hospitals and Institutions (H&I) - 6:30pm WORKSHOP at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1500 Hooper Ave, Toms River, NJ see below for H&I information

2nd TUESDAY OF THE MONTH -
Public Information (PI) - 6:30pm at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1500 Hooper Ave, Toms River, NJ We are an operating committee of the OASC of Narcotics Anoymous. We serve the OASC and are fully accountable to that conference. Our purpose is to inform the public that recovery from the disease of addiction is possible and available through the Twelve Steps, Twelve Traditions and Twelve Concepts of NA. We offer information about recovery including how and where to find it.
1st TUESDAY OF THE MONTH -
Activities Committee - 6:45pm - 729 Arnold Avenue, Point Pleasant, NJ The primary purpose is to plan and coordinate activities for NA members served by the OASC and to promote unity and fellowship within the NA program. To provide social events and celebrations of recovery to NA members in a safe atmosphere. To organize fund raising activities supporting the OASC and other NA Service structures.

3rd SUNDAY OF THE MONTH -
Joint Administrative Conference (JAC) - 3:00pm at Christ Community Center, 405 Washington St, Toms River, NJ Meeting held prior to Area. Committee Chairs give report at this time discuss concern, needs, questions.
OCEAN AREA SERVICE CONFERENCE (OASC) - 4:00pm at Christ Community Center, 405 Washington Center, Toms River, NJ Meeting of Area Group Service Represenatives (GSR), Officers, Committee Chairpersons to gather information from groups, Regional Represenative and Committees. Place literature orders for groups and donate funds to Area to further help the still suffering addict. Information received at Area is brought back to groups by the GSR's and shared through the GSR Report.

LAST TUESDAY OF THE MONTH -
Hospitals and Institutions (H&I) - Meeting 6:30pm Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1500 Hooper Ave, Toms River, NJ H&I is a service board of volunteer members of NA existing for the sole purpose of carrying the NA message of recovery to addicts who are unable to attend regular NA meetings. H&I carries the NA message to the inmates, patients, and residents following regulations of the institutions that we serve while adhering to these guidelines, the 12 Steps and 12 Traditions of NA. This is a service committee that is at all times accountable to the OASC. We shall maintain effective liaison and cooperation with that committee.

Policy Committee - Meeting 7:00pm Christ Church 415 Washington St., Toms River, NJ The Policy Committee is the source of accurate information about the operating procedures within the Ocean Area Service Conference. It supports all Committees.
